Cooper naps and bits of Fall

I knew this year would be different for Cooper's naps with the pick up schedule for the kids schools. Coops loves his naps, this summer it wasn't out of the ordinary for him to nap for 3 hours. While he is at the age of being able to skip a nap if necessary he is a much happier kiddo if he can get one in.

I have to wake him up most days to pick up Charlotte from school and on days he goes he only gets about 30-45 minutes before we have to leave. This has resulted in him sleeping in the car, on the floor, and out like a light when I go in to get him. Poor little brother has done really well rolling with the punches and he sure does look precious when he snoozes.

I also put out some touches of Fall even though its been in the 90's here still. Perhaps if I decorate then it shall come?

beach trip 2018

Since moving to Alabama we have visited the gulf almost every year and have tried out a few different areas and times to visit. We switched it up again this year and I think it was the best yet :)

We decided to stay in Navarre Beach which is right between Destin and Pensacola so its not nearly as busy but just as (or even more so) beautiful then those cities. We also went over Labor Day weekend, we usually go earlier in the summer but I liked going this time of year - the water was perfect!

I stumbled upon a steal of a deal AirBnB back in February and booked it on the spot because it was so great. It ended up being just as good in person. A 2 minute walk out to the beach, nicely decorated, great amount of space, nice amenities and did I mention A STEAL of a price. I seriously thought about going ahead and booking it for next year ha!

Ill let the pictures tell most of the story but some moments that I want to remember.....
- the first night on the beach Cooper was HYPED, he couldnt stop running into the surf and hollering silliness for a solid 20 minutes
- the hole digging, always a favorite with us
- alllllllll the fish tacos and beer
- Charlotte at Fort Pickins in Pensacola. She wanted to go in every nook and cranny and hidden tunnel, she is such an adventurer and brave
- seeing the fishermen catch the manta rays on the pier
- the look on both kids faces on the dolphin boat, we hit some monster waves and they loved and were nervous about it in equal measure
- shelling on the dolphin cruise, every time they found one it was like the first time, the weather was heaven and we just had the best hour as a family - splashing, shelling and laughing :)

Until next time gulf <3 <3 <3
