Charlotte turns 3!

Although she has been acting and talking like a tween for a good while now, its still hard to connect that floppy poofy haired baby I feel like I JUST brought home with the little kid who just picked out her own clothes, dressed herself, chose a snack out of her basket and sat down at the table to eat while listing off all the words she knows that start with the letter M -"mama" "monkey" "mud" "monday" "meatball"...........

For her birthday this year her and one of her best friends had a joint party at The Little Gym, one of her most favorite places on earth :) It was so easy and fun. The kids ran around, the teachers there played some games, they ran around some more, eat some pink cupcakes and called it a day. She loved it and still 2 months later tells people about how she turned 3 and had a Little Gym party with her friends.

I cant wait to see what the next year brings for us to learn, explore and discover <3

Cooper turns one!

It was everything a first birthday should be, lots of friends and family, yummy food, a pool to splash in and a whole bunch of smiles. Ill let the pictures tell about the day :)

 I am thisclose to finally getting Coopers birthday post up but in the meantime I wanted to do a quick post of things that Charlotte says "wrong". I know there will come a day when she doesnt say these things anymore and with her saying things like "I just need some privacy Mom" and spelling her name her littleness sometimes feels like its fading away much faster than I would like.

My favorite mispronunciations....

-banannaise  (mayonnaise)
-swandwich (sandwich)
-catch you (catch me, for jumping in the pool)
-i heared (i heard)
-sweeper (broom)

and she kinda has an imaginary friend. she doesnt talk about him much but if we play birthday its usually his we celebrate and if she is packing a bag to go on a trip its usually to visit him.

The facts that I have gathered from her are that his name is Toby, he lives in Florida and has black hair. Oh and he is almost always sick and that is why he doesnt come to Alabama to visit :)

Although 3 is showing itself to be a trying year it sure does have some highlights

Little touch ups

All of our time, money and energy has gone outdoors this summer as far as house stuff goes. Exhausting but worth it, Ill have to do a before-and-after post for the backyard, its so much more usable and kid friendly.

I was itching to do a little something inside so I gave the breezeway a little love and brought in a new plant to the family room.

And since I keep these alive for A WHOLE YEAR! (a personal record) I saw this beauty and added it to my seating corner :)
