Charlotte says the darnest things

  Miss Char has really started putting together sentences in the last month and the result is pretty hysterical sometimes.....

- today was officially warm enough for shorts, apparently the kid doesnt remember them from last spring because she told me "oohhhh nooooo! naked legs!! what happened to pants? naked legs!"

- she got a small scrap her knee, everyday when she sees it while getting dressed "awww leg hurt" and most of the time asks for a kiss for it. The other day she asked for a ladybug to make it feel better

- at lunch she asked for water, as I brought it over to her she told me "sit it right here" as she pointed beside her plate. After reminding her to use her manners I did as she asked and she lit up and clapped her hands and said "good job mommy!!!!!"

- while waiting in line at the bank there was a woman with very curly gelled hair in front of us. Charlotte said "Mama look, snakes!! SSSSssssss" as she tried to reach out and touch the lady's hair.

- we had to get my car worked on the other day and while looking through a People magazine she came across Ellen Degeneres and got so excited and said "Gran!" (in case you dont know Gran bears zero resemblance to Ellen)

And as I know all too well from my years of teaching, this is only the beginning :)

January/ February

January and February have been busy busy busy around these parts!

In January we confirmed that Charlotte will be having a baby brother, put our house back on the market, had some beautiful mild weather, I got certified to start teaching my birth classes and did all of usual activities :)

February we got an offer on our house (which has now fallen through), bought a new house, found a place to teach my classes, had another Dr appt (everything looks great!), had Beanie and Lauren visit, celebrated Valentines day and got a real snow day!

Overall a nice start to the year - cant wait to be in our new home, with baby brother and enjoy some warm temperatures :)

First Haircut

I didnt want to do it but Sister's hair had other plans. I tried everything to make her hair part on the side and give her a nice side swept bang but that Asian hair of hers just wouldnt listen. So we opted for bangs rather than having a crazy long front ponytail everyday :)

Overall she did well, she was unsure of the whole thing but she got to sit in a cool car and the hair dresser was super nice and most importantly fast.

I think she rocks the bangs like a boss :)
