May 27th

On Tuesday we celebrated Charlotte's 1st birthday. I was pretty emotional the day before but the day of we were too busy having fun for me to think about my baby never being a little squish again.

We started the day as usual, I brought her into bed and she nursed then we cuddled and played for awhile.

Then we got up and played until breakfast when the birthday girl got to eat her special #1 "pancake" (its mashed banana, eggs, vanilla and cinnamon) with a drizzle of maple syrup!

We went outside and played in her new sand table for awhile until nap. After she woke up we hit the road and went to Birmingham to visit the zoo. First we stopped and grab lunch where C hammed it up big time for our waiter :)

Charlie LOVED the zoo, she pointed and watched all the animals and called them all "daa". The monkeys were her favorite and we even got to feed a giraffe some lettuce!

There was a splash pad at the zoo that we ran around in before drying off and packing up to head home. She took a great nap on the way home and then Tony had to go to a business dinner so we went to Chik Fil A and she ran around and climbed on the play place and after we went next door for frozen yogurt. She had a few bites then we headed home where she passed out and had sweet birthday dreams :)

We cant wait for all her friends and family to be here this weekend for her party!!

We got Charlotte's one year pictures professionally taken and I couldnt be happier with them. The ladies who did them for us were so sweet and good with her and I cant wait to get this up on our walls :)

Family Weekend and Graduation

This weekend we went up to Nova for Ryan's High School graduation - the theme of the weekend was celebrating everyone's support and help along the way to make it happen :) We had a great time doing what we usually do when we all get together - eating, playing games, talking (a lot:) )
Nobody was ready to go home! We miss everyone so much already, it was a fantastic weekend of graduation, BBQ, volleyball, playing Kings, bubbles, dancing, bat mitten, hugs, and lots of talking and making jokes and realizing how insanely lucky we are to have each other.

and now the pictures :)
