Natural product switch

So far this year I have switched from typical shampoo and conditioner to a once a week "low-poo" wash and body wash to diluted Dr.Bronners castile soap and a washcloth. Both are still working really well and I feel better about the chemicals that I am putting on my body not to mention the money savings!

The next switch I have recently made is perfume and deodorant.

I haven't worn perfume since I had Charlotte because I was always wearing her against my chest and didn't want her delicate skin and lungs being exposed to it. I have really missed it though and so I went in search of an alternative and came across some great essential oils that smell great and also have some lovely side effects. I want to do a whole post on essential oils so for now I wont go into detail but I wear a Young Living blend called Valor and I love it :)

Deodorant has been one of the number one things I wanted to get away from but the one I was most scared of, I mean who wants to stink? Plus I bought some at Costco awhile back and I hate to be wasteful and throw it out so I have been using it up.

I finally finished my Costco deodorant and made the switch, I decided on this deodorant based on research and reviews. I switched over and let me tell you the first few days.....stink, major stink. Even with a mid-day reapplication. I was so bummed because I really wanted this to work. They say to give it awhile because just like all other switches from chemical to natural your body needs time to readjust. And after about a week it did just that, I use one swipe each morning and even in the 90-something humid as what Alabama summer, Im stink free. I swear some (as you should) but nothing over the top or gross. I highly recommend making the switch! I love the smell, it works great and I love that Im not clogged my pits with chemicals anymore :)

Next up toothpaste! Also next week I am doing my post breastfeeding/ pre IVF detox so I will update with that too

I leave you with a picture of my girl being precious :)
