First Day of School 2019

1st grade for this big girl and she was so excited, since it was the same school and she already knew most of the kids in her class and her teacher there wasnt any nerves this year :) She hit the ground running and is doing fantastic so far.

PreK at a new school for Coop. He was happy to be at the same school as sister this year but a little nervous about a whole new building, friends and teachers. His first day went great and he is off to a quiet but great start.

the rest of summer

The last month of summer break was filled with hikes, slow mornings, swimming, ice cream, slime making, crafts and finished off with one of favorites nights of the summer - the Kiddie Carnival :)

4th of July at the lake

For the past 4 years we have been able to spend the 4th of July with our close friends out on Lake Martin. One of our friends has the most gracious parents who let us use their gorgeous lake house that week. We eat, boat around, ski, tube, jet ski, play on the giant lilypad, enjoy adult hang out floating in the lake during the kids nap time and love the break from "real life". This year was no different, even with 11 kids 6 and under its still so relaxing and fun :)
